The Euro (€) is the French and European currency

€1 is divided into 100 centimes or cents.
Notes: €5, €10, €20, €50, €100, €200 and €500.
Coins: 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 cents; €1 and €2.

Value of the euro against the dollar:
In 2006, the euro is worth around $1.15.

If you happen to still have some old French franc banknotes, you can exchange them at the Banque de France until:
