Excellent service, great food, very gracious personnel. I would highly recommend it. Btw, it was the scene in movie "something's Gotta Give" also.

Waiter was demeaning and the food was terrible -- served to us at a very high price. This was our ONLY bad experience in France.
The most horrific service ever - Cafe du Mogador (across from Trinite church)

Assuming that we were tourists (we have been residents in Paris for 2 years), they tried to charge us double for coffee (10 euros!). When my husband complained, they literally threw a glass of water over him. Unbelievable!

The food is not bad, but the ladies that work there are awfull. Treat the clients like criminals. They are not able to organize themselves in the orders, specially if you do not get the take away food. They take your money and do not do the order to the kitchen, and after pretend that you never order and that you are trying to still from them! Absurd behavior.... Before having this expererience with them, i've seen them shouting with a french girl and making her leave the place.

Hi all, I have lived ,study and worked in Paris training to be a chef! All the comments I seen so far is rather bias! Again, there are many types of restaurants good, bad and ugly! Every country has these. I have travelled to more than 100 cities and m myself a food obsessed as passionate cook both at home and working in a restaurant and eating my way around Paris and France the past year.

The food at the Michelin starred resto is absolutely great and service. However one can still get amazing great food at a lot of 'bistronomy' started by former Michelin star ex chefs who set up their own restaurant. To name a few....sensing,l'arpege, Alain ducasse, guy matin, guy savoy.

This country is truly a gourmet city and one has to spend the money if you are into fine dining or a regular foodie who loves food and do not mind paying for quality!

A one star Michelin we range from 100 to 150 euros per pax,
A two star... 150 to 250
A 3 star ...300 and above
Not including wine!

If you as a tourist mot willing to pay 35 to 65 euros for a good meal then you should definitely visit Singapore! Indeed Paris is one of the most expensive city in the world
You can expect to pay anything from 35 euros to 65 euros for decently good food in Paris! Anything below that expect mass bistro resto especially if are in tourist area!

So get real that is the price! Go to less expensive cities like Singapore or anywhere in Asia where one can get great food for as low as 2 us dollars!

RESTAURANT TO AVOID

AVOID THE ROYAL TRINITE RUE DE CHATEAUDUN, 75009: THE FOOD IS BAD - THEY CAN'T EVEN COOK CHIPS PROPERLY, THE SERVICE ATROCIOUS, AND THEY SIMPLY DON'T CARE/
Eifell tower resturant...it is worth it?

My son thinks we should eat in the ifell Tower resturant for the view...not me. Who is correct. I don't think the price is worth it.

My worst meal of the year! I had invited some friends and felt ashamed and irritated by the quality of the food, the presentation and especially the cooking. We did not get at all what we ordered and expected to eat and I agree that this must be industrial food. At this price it is scandalous and I really recommend NOT TO GO. I will continue my cruisade by writing to the French guides as I feel they should know.
Sorry for you visitors of Paris. Try to make a better choice next time you come.
A former Parisian.
Eating out in Paris

The food was generally tasteless with only potatoes as a vegetable. The whole eating experience was very disappointing and a complete rip off as the prices for badly cooked meat/fish and potatoes was astronomical. Drinks were also over priced with a cup of tea costing over £4. Paris itself is a lovely city but London and Cardiff beat it hollow for choice of restaurants/eating places, value for money and certainly better service. My hotel The Ampere was excellent with a very good breakfast which set us up for the day. Unfortunately the restuarant was closed for evening meals due to it being the August holiday season. However it was a pleasure to come back from a busy sight-seeing day to such comfortable accommodation and helpful staff.
