For the first time, Charles Dickens’ timeless work is being performed in French, with a cast of 15 actors, singers, and dancers and an orchestra of seven musicians. During this production of 'Oliver Twist the Musical,' translated text will be projected above the stage, allowing you to understand every word from your Category 1 or Gold Category seat. A dedicated host welcomes you and gives you an English program when you arrive. Select a showtime and preferred category of seating when booking.
'Oliver Twist the Musical' represents the journey of a lifetime. Beginning at Oliver's birth, the show follows him as, one by one, he overcomes dangers, obstacles, and manipulative characters in 19th-century London. With the strength of his dreams, he changes his destiny.
Upon arrival at the theater, the Salle Gaveau, meet your dedicated host who welcomes you and helps to familiarize you with the venue. Your seating for the performance guarantees an unobstructed view of the English surtitles, which are projected above the stage. You'll also receive a program printed in English to read before the curtain rises.
Then sit back and take in the architecture of the Salle Gaveau, listed as a historical monument. Located just a stone’s throw from the Champs-Elysées, the venue was built in 1907 and quickly became the most prominent music hall in Paris. From its inception, it has always been dedicated to classical and chamber music, and 'Oliver Twist' is the first musical to take to its stage.
This typically French theatrical experience allows you to enjoy live theater during your stay in Paris without having to worry about the language barrier, thanks to the help of the English surtitles. The translation of the script into English was done by bilingual theater specialists.
The show ends after roughly two hours and 15 minutes (with an interval).
